The Fourth Symposium on the History and Philosophy of Programming will be held at the Mathematical Institute at the University of Oxford. The meeting is organized by the Commission for the History and Philosophy of Computing (HaPoC).

The 39th meeting of the ORESME Reading Group will be held at Northern Kentucky University. The focus of the meeting will be a reading of the first four chapters of Theorie Der Algebraischen Zahlen (Theory of Algebraic Numbers), published in 1908 by Kurt Hensel (18611941).

The Seminar on Epistemology and History of Mathematical Ideas will meet at the Institut Henri Poincaré in Paris. The speakers will be JeanPaul Allouche and Michel Serfati reading extracts from Descartes et Pascal entre science, réalité et fiction, followed by a presentation by Michel Serfati on the topic Descartes et Pascal, mathématiques et littérature.

The 29th Novembertagung Conference on the History of Mathematics will be held at the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Seville in Seville, Spain.
The invited speakers will be Karine Chemla (Paris) and José Ferreirós (Seville). The theme will be "History of Mathematical Concepts and Conceptual History of Mathematics." Submissions are particularly encouraged that engage with historical considerations of key concepts of mathematics, or that are guided by a conceptual approach to the history and philosophy of mathematics. [However, the theme serves as a guide, not a criterion for exclusion, and it is not necessary for a submission to engage with the theme to be accepted.] The deadline for submissions is May 15, 2018.
