[7/6/2016] The 2017 Annual Meeting of the CSHPM/SCHPM will be held in conjunction with the 2017 Congress of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences at Ryerson University in Toronto, ON. [8/11/2015] Many thanks to all who attended our recent annual meeting in Washington D.C. The meeting was a huge success, with an exceptionally full and varied program of talks filling up four days. We are all very grateful to Maria Zack and the rest of the organizers of the general and special sessions at the meeting.

The next CSHPM/SCHPM Annual Meeting will be held in conjunction with the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Calgary in May 2016. Additional details of the meeting will be posted as they become available.

The first column was written by Tom Archibald on medieval and Renaissance algebra. The column is coordinated by Hardy Grant and Amy Ackerberg-Hastings.
